We continue to experience growth and are looking for an experienced Manager to join our Business Advisory team in the Brisbane office. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects/client relationships, including the achievement of revenue/profit objectives, in addition to providing technical knowledge, training and direction to those in the team to ensure quality and timeliness of delivery.
- Reviewing financial statements for all entity types
- Monitoring overall teamwork-in-progress and performance to budget
- Coaching supervisors and seniors in the management of staff e.g. the delegation of client work, monitoring budgets and lodgement deadlines, and overall work-flow
- Developing and imparting technical knowledge through training
- Team performance reviews, including the development and achievement of personal development goals
- Maintaining a high level of understanding of your clients’ businesses as well as current issues affecting clients; demonstrating a good commercial judgement and knowledge
- Attracting and retaining clients in a proactive, innovative and progressive manner that broadens our client base
- Proactively contributing to innovation within the business unit
- Participate in professional development activities to stay up to date with industry trends and changes in accounting standards.
About you
- Qualification(s) and/or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business/Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
- CA or CPA qualified
- Demonstrated and proven professional experience in business and tax advisory within a public practice setting
- Professional, client-focused, and invested in developing into a trusted business advisor
- Proven experience in supervising and leading a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Excellent prioritisation, attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills with the ability to adapt in high-pressure situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Experienced in Xero, MYOB, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
