As the Manager, Community Engagement and Impact, you'll be at the forefront of driving positive change. Leading a passionate team, you'll collaborate with internal partners across our organisation to maximize the impact of our projects and initiatives on the community.
You'll be a key part of our Community Development Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic direction of the branch by fostering collaboration with Divisional and Executive Leadership Teams.
The role requires creative and analytical thinking, a commitment to growth, and an experimental mindset. The Manager, Community Engagement and Impact will focus on continuous improvement by analysing team activities, incorporating learnings, and ensuring strategic objectives are met. The role involves a high-level interface with internal stakeholders, fostering solid and collaborative relationships with trust, credibility, and discretion.

What you will bring to City of Melbourne
- Proven track record in successfully managing complex projects within a dynamic and reactive environment, showcasing an understanding of the strategic, operational, and governance aspects.
- Demonstrated ability to provide advice at a senior level on Community Engagement, community development and social value creation principles and methods.
- High-level written and oral communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.
- High level experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and ability to develop a sound understanding of stakeholder needs.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or possess demonstrated expertise in public sector, community development, engagement, or a related field
