About the role
An exciting opportunity for a Contract & Tender Manager to join our growing team!
This role will be responsible for management and completion of DP World Oceania’s tendering and RFQ/RFP processes across both inter-geography and intra-geography including developing, negotiating and pitching cluster tenders. This entails liaising with various stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop proposals that address our customers’ needs and bring forth the best services that we have to offer to enhance the chances of securing tenders.
The key roles and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Develop bid strategies and Tender frameworks
- Review and prioritize tender requests
- Lead and manage Oceania tenders and technical proposals in response to RFQ’s/RFP’s covering air, ocean, road and contract logistics by adhering to Tender Management process
- Develop tender pricing based on guidelines set by global logistics pricing team
- Provide post-bid analysis for Commercial team and Management review
- Prepare bids/tenders in line with quality, risk and compliance standards
- Consult with relevant stakeholders and internal legal team in the preparation drafting of contract documents
- Assist in the negotiation of contractual terms and agreements with vendors
- Recommend optimal solutions for clients based on DP World’s service offerings
- Coordinate with global/regional and country stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop technical proposals accurately
About you
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- 5 years’ experience in logistics industry and exposure to tender handling, contract management or sales related functions
- Strong analytical, communications and organization skills
- Ability to work and coordinate with various stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strict timelines
- Deep understanding of and an ability to present freight forwarding products and pricing methodology
- Experience in applying organizational standards and legislative requirements when reviewing and developing RFQs, negotiating terms and drafting contracts.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
