About the role

Calling all data visionaries! Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to lead the charge in harnessing the power of data to drive organisational success? If the answer is yes, then this may just be the role for you!

Australian Retirement Trust (ART) are looking for our next Manager – Data Office to join and lead our Data Office function as part of the Data and Integration team, on a permanent basis. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for the uplift of data quality, data management processes and data governance at ART, and will play a fundamental role in bringing enterprise consistency to data operations across our organisation.

In this key leadership role, you will also lead, guide, and inspire a talented team of data management specialists, whilst overseeing the management and optimisation of our data assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data governance standards and also enhancing and optimising every facet of ART’s data ecosystem.

Ideally, you will be someone who has experience instilling a robust data culture program within an organisation by utilising effective change management techniques to foster the adoption and adherence to data policies and standards across an organisation.

About you

If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may include:

• Proven ability and experience with exceptional influencing and negotiation skills, ability to challenge constructively and drive fundamental shifts in behaviour to deliver positive change.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary frameworks and/or methodologies: DMBOK, DCAM, APRA CPG-235, CMMI.
• Data Management program and operations experience in a complex corporate environment.
• Familiar with relevant data standards (e.g. CDR, GDPR, ISO 8000) and the principles embedded within them.
• Proven ability to lead, manage, coach, motivate and mentor staff to foster a positive and satisfying work environment. This includes working with staff from diverse backgrounds and promoting a safe workplace.
