POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, Human Resources (6 months contract) is responsible for the full spectrum of HR practices for the ANZ team to include: culture and teammate engagement, talent strategy, succession planning & performance management, talent acquisition, training & organizational development, employee relations, compensation & benefits.
Based in Sydney, and reporting to the Director, HRBP SAPAC, the HRBP will partner with business leaders and COE to align Under Armour’s global Human Resources Strategies with business strategies in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and establish a positive teammate experience; drive the UA culture through all levels of the business unit.
- Provide HR Operational and Project Management support to corporate initiatives.
- Work closely with business unit leaders to assess in-house talent and create strategy to identify and retain current talent as well as attract outside talent to the business; prepare exit strategy for non-performers.
- Serve as initial point of contact for ER/IR matters and escalate in a timely manner.
- Work with talent acquisition team to monitor recruitment status and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
- Work closely with local head of departments and Finance to administer local staff cost and budget and contribute to workforce planning.
- Support HR Operations with end-to-end payroll process for all UA Australian teammates
- Implement the company’s onboarding program to local teammates.
- Provide coaching and counseling to business leaders in all areas of Human Resources
- Engage HR Centers of Excellence to create and deploy the following:
- Consistent pipeline of internal and external talent for job openings
- Proper application of benefits and rewards programs
- Training and development programs to meet the needs of the business unit.
- Establishing wage and salary structure, pay policies.
- Compliance with applicable employment regulations
- Office management duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITES)
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred
- 8+ years HR experience with industry-specific experience in retail or service is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian Employment Law, with specific experience handling Retail Employee Relations issues
- Good experience promoting and atmosphere which inspires teammates to excel and develop.
- Prior experience providing confidential counselling and coaching to all levels of the organization. Exercising judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Proven knowledge of all core HR processes including performance management, leadership development, talent management, compensation, succession planning, training and organizational development.
- Proven experience working with others to maintain and build cross-functional (internal and external) relationships.
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Prior experience clearly expressing complex ideas and strong presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong computer (Microsoft Office) skills, proficiency with HR systems
