About the role
The Manager, Office of the Deputy Director-General provides advice and support to the Senior Director, Strategic Coordination, Office of the Deputy Director-General and branch executive in the management and resolution of critical issues impacting on the Health Capital Division.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Coordination, Office of the Deputy Director-General, Health Capital Division, (ODDG HCD) the role provides strategic advice and support to Senior Director, Strategic Coordination, ODDG HCD and branch executive and will support key operational functions, including branch correspondence and governance and engagement.
The role serves as a conduit between the Office of the Deputy Director-General and the Offices of the Executive Director and Director-General and the broader Divisional leadership team.
It is Imperative that the role build and maintain strong relationships and networks throughout the Division, Department, and health system.
The successful person
To be successful in the role you will have:
- experience in providing sensitive, coordinated, confidential and complex support to Executive Management Leadership teams within large complex public sector organisations
- excellent communication skills, including written and verbal skills, as well as good team building and policy networking skills
- demonstrated focus on issues identification and resolution
- strong analytical and negotiation skills including the ability to resolve conflict positively
- experience in leading and managing support functions for a division with a de-centralised business model for operational areas.
