The Manager, Parish Property Services position sits within Sydney Anglican Property (SAP), which was formed on 1 January 2024 to provide a unified and coordinated approach to all diocesan property matters. This includes day-to-day parish building and property issues, strategic planning and strategy, construction of new church developments, urban renewal redevelopment, the management of heritage items and more.
SAP brings together the staff and functions previously spread across the Anglican Church Growth Corporation, the Anglican Church Property Trust, New Churches for New Communities and St Andrew's House Corporation. As a result, SAP is now a one-stop shop for property-related matters for over 1,100 properties valued at over $5 billion across the whole Diocese, ensuring parishes are provided with better, more coordinated services, while retaining an emphasis on innovative projects that support the work of the gospel in Greater Sydney.
About the role
The Parish Property Services Team within SAP is seeking a skilled and experienced Manager to lead our parish administrative and strategic property support services. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- leading and managing project-based teams to provide asset management and oversee the approval and construction of new ministry infrastructure on Parish Property
- working closely with our parishes, senior clergy, senior management team of SAP and the SAP Board to provide technical expertise
- supporting the ongoing development and implementation of SAP’s strategic business plan

About You
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of management or technical experience in one or more of the following areas: corporate, government, business, faith sectors, or administration/ property/ insurance within an office setting. Additionally, they should have a good understanding of the property industry, including current laws and compliance regulations.

- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Skilled in problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Proficient in the suite of microsoft business products

Consistent with the ethos and values of the Sydney Anglican Offices, applicants for the position must have a demonstrated Christian commitment and are an active member of a church. Knowledge of the Diocese is an advantage.
