Reporting to the Director of Policy and Provision, the Manager will lead and manage efforts across policy formulation, demand and cost modelling, provision planning, and strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to drive initiatives that support the growth and enhancement of Early Childhood Education and Development programs.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the creation, management, and review of supply/demand/cost models to inform decision-making processes. Analyse data, track trends, and assess the needs of Early Childhood Education and Development.
- Lead efforts in policy formulation, demand assessment, and Provision planning, providing high-quality reports and analyses to inform budget setting and decision-making processes.
- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organisational goals and government priorities for early childhood education Policy and Provision.
- Contribute expertise in policy analysis and provide advice on early childhood development, preschool programs, infrastructure, and broader educational policies.
- Collaborate on infrastructure provisioning strategy, including planning, timing, and location of new preschool builds and expansions. Manage relationships with relevant government agencies involved in infrastructure planning.
- Lead and coordinate high-performing staff to deliver, improve, and automate analysis, data, and reports. Establish goals, deliver effective performance reviews, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Establish and manage relationships, partnerships, and networks with executive management and key internal and external stakeholders across education and government agencies.
Qualifications:
- Essential a tertiary qualification in public policy, economics, education, or other relevant fields.

Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
