Position Summary
The Manager of Projects - Technology Infrastructure will work collaboratively with stakeholders specifically aligned to the Sydney Rail project to support project activities.
This is a 12 month position where the key focus is to support Technology related project activities aligned to the Sydney Rail project. With a focus on Infrastructure and the combination of Business Analysis and Project Management to support technology related implementation activities throughout the project.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct research, data analysis, and process mapping to identify any potential impacts
- Monitor, evaluate and update the effectiveness of new processes and procedures to ensure they meet the desired outcomes.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process maps.
- Train and coach team members on process improvements to ensure consistent implementation and adoption.
- Proactively build strong relationships with colleagues, team members, specialist users and the business
- Ensure coordination and alignment of key stakeholders across multiple phases and deliverables
- Develop, own and manage a 'User Requirement' for all IT infrastructure and systems for the project. Ensure all Stakeholders have been consulted and sign off these requirements. Continually test project deliverables against the requirements
- Assist in the design, development, and ownership of the ystem Integration Testing (AUT) , & User Acceptance Testing (UAT) project plans, ensuring that all milestones and internal and external
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems.
- 5 - 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst/Project Manager in a similar industry and focused on Infrastructure Technology projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the organization's core business process and operations ideally in the Port Operations or Logistics sector.
- Proven experience in hands on project management and delivery associated with Technology infrastructure implementations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong task management skills.
- Able to exercise independent judgment and act on it.
