An exciting, ongoing opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as the Manager Quality – Higher Education role.
Within this role, you will provide guidance on academic excellence and Higher Education standards, ensuring compliance, course accreditation and reaccreditations, and quality improvement in Higher Education programs. This involves developing, implementing, and overseeing relevant academic quality assurance and Higher Education standards and frameworks.
As the Manager Quality - Higher Education, you will be providing support for various boards, committees and subcommittees and advising staff on Higher Education Standards Framework. Collaborating closely with colleagues at BHI’s Higher Education College, you will cultivate positive client relationships to facilitate the development and implementation of initiatives and ensuring quality of our Higher Education programs are maintained.
The Manager Quality - Higher Education is a member of Academic Quality team located in Elgar Campus. This position is responsible for working professionally with employees at all levels across the BHI Group and liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders ensuring quality and compliance in Higher education courses.
About You:
- PhD/Masters or relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent experience in academic quality and compliance
- Demonstrated proven knowledge of Australian tertiary education and Higher Education compliance procedures
- Possess strong knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021
- Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and applying Higher Education standards and legislative requirements, including the HESF
- Experience in managing quality assurance systems and frameworks, as well as conducting audits in Higher Education
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret data, predicting and forecasting trends to inform future directions in terms of academic quality
- Possess substantial experience in policy development, course accreditation and curriculum development
- High level expertise in managing and evaluating the effectiveness of Higher Education programs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, relationship management, negotiation skills and impeccable attention to detail.
- Exhibit skills in establishing and maintaining auditable record-keeping systems
- Demonstrate the use of evidence-based practices for continuous improvement in academic quality and compliance
- Align with BHIs values in personal attributes
