Manager – Transaction Management

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to join the Transaction Management Team. As the Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the execution of transactions related to construction contracts, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and value creation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Queensland’s healthcare infrastructure transformation and work on projects that make a real difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the execution of transactions related to construction contracts, primarily those exceeding $100 million in value or with complex characteristics.
- Formulate Transaction Management and negotiation strategies in alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful transaction execution and adherence to established standards.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and the private sector to address complex transactional matters and facilitate successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Director and other team members to integrate Transaction Management activities with procurement and contract management functions.
- Maintain a deep understanding of construction contracting principles, particularly within the Queensland Government context, and stay updated on relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in Transaction Management, contract negotiation, and construction contracting, preferably within the Queensland Government or similar public sector environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team towards achieving project goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving compliance, efficiency, and value creation in project transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and across government agencies and the private sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is highly regarded.
