Your role will be to lead the growth of our Power Sector focused consultancy service within the Asia Pacific (APAC) Territory.

Job Description

We are recruiting a Power Sector Lead on the back of sustained growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients. To lead the growth of our Power Sector focus consultancy business you will:

  • Build client base and pipeline within the Power Sector
  • Build the ability of local team to deliver for the Power Sector
  • Build AMCL’s reputation for Power Sector expertise within the APAC market
  • Use your knowledge and experience to consult with clients in finding solutions to challenges within the Power Sector – Generation, Transmission & Distribution
  • Support major capability transformation programs with our Power Sector clients
  • Support AMCL’s APAC Market Offering Leads to sell and deliver our “sector agnostic” Market Offerings within the Power Sector:
    • Outcome Driven Capital Programs
    • Informed Investment Decisions
    • Creating the Aligned Organisation
    • Empowering Your People
    • Making Digital Work for You.
  • Work with our Turner & Towsend colleagues who are focused on capital project set-up and delivery to ensure the value of AMCL services are delivered to Power Sector clients for whom they are working to deliver capital projects and programs.
Qualifications

You will be externally focused, with proven capability in business development, client relationship development, developing the pitch (sales/ marketing), and commercial acumen.

You will have a passion and drive to help clients solve problems, develop their capability, and get the best from their business. You will be inclined to see opportunity rather than risk, and pursue opportunity independently (with guidance and support) rather than needing others to provide.

You will have no appetite for the mediocrity and monotony you may have experienced elsewhere. You will want to make your mark as part of a meritocracy, where you will be recognised for the difference YOU make.

You will have a strong reputation and networks within the Power Sector. Your industry peers will respect your credentials and experience in:

  • Implementing and embedding change within power businesses;
  • Managing power infrastructure; and
  • Navigating the regulation of power businesses.

You will consider yourself:

  • A Power Sector expert; with
  • Strong consultancy skills; and
  • An understanding of Asset Management.

Desirable attributes include:

  • Externally focused, with proven capability in business development, client relationship development, developing the pitch (sales/ marketing), and commercial acumen.
  • A successful track record of providing advisory consulting within power infrastructure businesses.
  • Degree level qualification – business management, engineering, economics, or other relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of experience working with asset-intensive organisations.
  • Experience such that you can operate effectively within a consulting business.
  • General management function within the Power Sector.
  • Demonstrable commitment to and skills for developing the performance of colleagues.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, business networking and communication skills.
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment specific to power businesses.
  • Takes personal responsibility for work and colleagues’ work, ensuring it is always of a high standard.
  • Willingness to commit the additional time and effort necessary during periods of heavy workload to deliver high-quality outputs, agreed milestones and deadlines.
