We want you
We’re seeking a Marketing and Communications guru to join the Pulse Marketing team. You will support the team in achieving the marketing, promotional and operational objectives of UOW Pulse activities and businesses. No two days will be the same – you could be writing blog posts one day and creating content for various social media accounts the next.
You will be responsible for sourcing, curating and coordinating content for several brands across Pulse over a range of channels including digital, social and print to build engagement and drive sales. Collaboration is a key factor of success in this role and you’ll work closely with the team to implement strategies to improve the customer experience and grow revenue through new communication tools including digital and web technologies.
You’ll work closely with the Marketing team to deliver your portfolio of work for multiple brands. Based at UOW’s Wollongong campus, you’ll work in a vibrant and energetic environment among the Student Engagement and Marketing team from Monday to Friday.

You’ll have
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related field, or an equivalent qualification or work experience.
- Demonstrated marketing industry experience.
- Experience in creating and delivering effective campaign strategies to meet revenue targets and support improved business performance and growth.
- High-level digital literacy with demonstrated understanding in the implementation of digital media strategies and campaigns across a range of digital platforms (content management systems, EDM programs, social media platforms).
- Analytical and problem solving skills with an understanding of marketing analytics and return on investment reporting.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for customer service, and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the demands of the business if required.
