Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Sports Management, Marketing or Business.
- Well developed computer and data analysis skills, including MS365 apps and various desktop/mobile apps and social media.
- Proven experience in sports administration and exceptional customer service.
- A basic understanding of and interest in the sport of tennis.
- Ability to envisage, develop and implement meaningful social tennis programs.
- Great communication skills (verbal and written). A positive attitude and enthusiasm. An outgoing and confident personality with a passion for people. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail - a "roll up the sleeves", can do attitude.
- A Working with Children Check is required. A Responsible Service of Alcohol, a First Aid including CPR and food handling certificates are all useful too.
- An ability to work with several stakeholders or tennis players at one time without getting stressed. Generally means some multi-tasking skills. On the other hand, an ability to work autonomously (and alone) during quiet periods.
- The capability to work some evenings and some weekends (we have night tennis, tournaments and social programs).
Tasks & responsibilities
- Drive innovative MARKETING AND digital campaigns. Deliver quality communications through social media platforms and Club channels.
- Initiate, implement and facilitate social tennis programs. Work with Club stakeholders to deliver tournaments, UTR and schools initiatives/programs.
- Identify and apply for grant opportunities.
- Support the Club Manager and stakeholders with day to day operational activities of a busy tennis club (very hands on). A daily routine of maintaining the presentation of the facility is part of the role.
- This is a casual hours role of 20 to 25 hours per week. Generally, working from home isn't an option.
