Job Description

At Slimstock we dedicate all of our time and know-how to making sure our customers can rely on the best tools and knowledge to outperform their competition. Using our best-of-breed software solution, Slim4, we help our customers to better manage their demand, forecasting and inventory management processes. We are passionate about inventory management.

What it’s like to work here:

For you, it means you’ll do great work with a small but well-established team and develop a career within a progressive environment. We are an important part of the supply chain community globally and as a member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to see first-hand how we make a difference to our customers across various industries including but not limited to Retail, Wholesale, Manufacturing, Automotive, Consumer goods and Industrial parts.

Our software is unique, and while we are looking for someone with a genuine interest in supply chain, you will be joining an organisation that provides extensive training opportunities and ability to develop your skills professionally.

We are offering a full-time position split between Marketing and Administration in a growing global organisation, with offices in every time-zone.

What does the role involve?

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Marketing / Administration Associate to join our Melbourne team. This role will primarily support the Marketing Manager in executing various marketing initiatives and planning for future growth, as well as managing commercial and administrator tasks. The ideal candidate will be passionate about marketing, possess strong organisational skills, and either possess or demonstrate a keen interest in finance.

On a daily basis the role will see you:

  • Initiating and executing all elements of the marketing strategy to attract, engage, nurture and convert prospects. For example: organise events, tradeshows, media buys, create and distribute marketing collateral, partnerships, increase website traffic, improve search rankings and generate improved ROI on all digital activity.
  • Crafting compelling content for social media, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.
  • Actively work with email marketing, inbound marketing strategies, lead nurturing and marketing automation. You will be confident with WordPress and Hubspot (or similar content management/marketing automation systems).
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of distribution of content through various channels, including but not limited to LinkedIn to build up and engage a network.
  • Have a proactive work ethic and a strong desire to advance your skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare and send out monthly invoices to customers.
  • Keeping track of creditors and debtors’ administration
  • Collaborate with the global finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team as needed.
What experience will you have?

We’re looking for an energetic and proactive candidate that can drive the Slimstock marketing strategy and assist developing new initiatives for growth. In addition to this, you will ideally have:

  • A graduate degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing. Supply chain or logistics experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of the different aspects that come with organising events and tradeshows e.g. sourcing venues, overseeing event days, venue setup, organising speaker sessions, etc.
  • The ability to use tools such as WordPress, Hubspot, Adobe suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), LinkedIn, Social Media platforms and Search Engine Optimisation Tools (SEMRush).
  • Familiarity with content marketing strategies, including content ideation, creation, distribution, and promotion.
  • Accurate in Financial book keeping and administration
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both verbal and written).
  • Comfortable interacting with people and being a part of a team in a dynamic environment.
What will the process look like?

After we screen the applications for the role, we invite the candidates we think best suit the role and the company based on resume and (if applicable) LinkedIn-profiles. With those candidates we will have an in-person interview at our office at Suite 5, level 14, 350 Collins Street Melbourne VIC 3000 Slimstock will be conducting the interview with a team of two. After the interviews we will choose the best candidate suited for the role and we will start a conversation on the salary and entitlements. After we agree, we sign a contract on permanent basis, with a probation period.
