Ripe is delighted to share an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant – Brand to join the Marketing Team.
The Marketing Assistant – Brand works closely with the Marketing Manager – Campaigns, and is an integral leadership role within Ripe, focused on amplifying brand presence through Marketing and PR activity, with full exposure to the marketing mix. The position is perfect for a candidate with a passion for marketing as well as an interest in fashion.
This position is a 9-month Maternity Leave cover based at our head office in Fairfield, Melbourne, with the possibility of extension. Days/hours flexible for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
You will own the marketing function alongside the Marketing Manager – Campaigns, with demonstrated experience in all aspects of traditional and digital marketing. You will collaborate closely with business functions (from Product Development to Sales) to bring strategies for brand, wholesale, e-commerce, and retail to life that will resonate with our community and convert to sales.
- Develop the bi-seasonal Marketing Strategy for Ripe, leading all key initiatives including planning and delivery of Seasonal Brand Calendar, Promotions Calendar, Retail and Brand Activations, Influencer Strategy, and ad hoc content opportunities.
- Develop and execute the weekly/monthly Content Plan across our mix of channels (specifically eDM, website, socials) and own the copywriting element of all Marketing Communications (including Product Descriptions, Instore POS & VM, Media Releases, Blogs etc) ensuring tone of voice is on-brand to capture market share.
- Oversee all content and asset development for Ripe (including Photoshoots where necessary with the Marketing Manager – Campaigns).
- Oversee the Social Media Strategy in line with the overall Brand Strategy (including approvals of content planned and influencer outreach).
- Partner with key functions across the business including Sales, Wholesale, Ecommerce and Product Development to drive and execute the Marketing Strategy, ensuring a seamless experience across every stage of the consumer (B2C and B2B) experience.
- Oversee the Marketing Budget to deliver an excellent ROI while effectively managing the overall spend.
- Review and report on weekly/monthly marketing activity and performance against desired business objectives, recommending relevant improvements as necessary.
- Build and maintain a strong rapport with the Marketing Manager – Campaigns to create and execute campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring alignment in brand messaging and presentation.
- Provide clear communication to internal stakeholders (including Head Office and Retail Stores) of all relevant Promotions and Marketing Activities including local area marketing with Retail Centres and influencers/UGC creators.
- Provide clear communication to external partners and suppliers (Media, PR, Creative Agencies, Retail Centres, Community Partners etc) defining roles, responsibilities, and deadlines relative to the execution of the Marketing Strategy.
- Be a champion for the Ripe consumer, taking the time to understand how they perceive the brand, how Ripe can mean more to them, and what’s required to reach new customers.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and channel improvements and monitor/report on competitor activity.
- Own the marketing sphere for Ripe, becoming a source of knowledge through all relevant parties, providing context and evidence-based reasoning for key decisions.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ Years experience in Marketing/Brand Management with diverse Content Creation skills.
- Strong understanding of the marketing landscape across fashion, lifestyle, culture etc, with insights into motherhood desired but not essential.
- Strong experience in developing marketing and brand strategies, leading cross-functional campaigns from start to finish in both local and international markets.
- Excellent social, written/copywriting, and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Exceptional presentation as an ambassador of Ripe.
- Outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to think strategically as well as deliver results.
- Strong focus on the customer, and customer experience.
- Ability to work as part of an integrated team, and maintain focus in an exceptionally creative and fast-paced office environment.
- Strong commercial acumen, with reporting and budgeting experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is desired but not essential.
