Role Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Communications Manager, you will manage, develop and deliver strategic and tactical marketing communications for Woolworths.
12month secondment
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Communications Campaigns
Manage and deliver a program of communications to execute our complex, high-volume calendar of marketing activity.
Manage the development of communication strategies, intentions, objectives and customer experiences.
Manage the strategy, creative, production and execution of work for each campaign, or always on comm’s activity, to answer the brief and meet campaign objectives.
Take accountability for, and ensure correct application of campaign assets so that they stay true to the campaign, and creative intentions, across all customer channels including those managed end-to-end as well as those owned by other channels.
Manage multi-million dollar production budgets
Drive high levels of horizontal engagement within the end-to-end process for projects & campaigns
Develop critical and sustainable relationships, processes and systems within the Greenhouse, across agency partners and input into the optimisation of the model.
Strategic Propositions and Brand Platforms
Provide recommendations, and support the relevant HoMC, in optimising the blend of short and long term objectives within strategic Marketing Communications propositions (eg. Price, branded comm’s platforms, Cartology platforms etc)
Manage how they manifest in campaigns and always-on comms across all channels
Creative Leadership
Be accountable for ensuring high standards are applied across creative assets including static and moving image, digital experience, copy and tone, music and voice, graphic devices and systems etc.
Drive executional standards across other teams and provide support to others in the Food Group
Team Leadership
Lead and develop a team of Marketing Communications Specialists to deliver constantly evolving ways of working and best-in-class marketing campaign execution.
What you bring to the role
High degree of technical Marketing Communications skills and experience - strategy, creative, production and measurement
Pragmatic and achievement-focused with high capacity for prioritisation and managing a complex, high volume of work
Ability to set a vision and take a large team, with potentially competing priorities, on a journey to achieve that vision
Strong cross functional stakeholder management experience across multiple organisational levels, and the ability to
foster strong partnerships with internal and external partners to work collaboratively as one team
Experience in harnessing and interpreting customer and category insights to lead campaigns to success
Demonstrable agency best practice skills - a deep understanding of what makes a good brief, how to evaluate creative work and get the best out of partnerships
A proven, in depth understanding of the role of channel and best practice for each channel (e.g. advertising, PR, social, in-store etc)
Demonstrable experience in delivering innovation and industry best-practice
Experience in adherence to legal requirements and risk management
Proven experience in leading a team > 2
