Marketing & Events Executive - Canberra

The Job
This is an exciting opportunity to play an influential role in the marketing of Limelight Cinemas. Working closely with Limelight’s National Marketing and Location Management teams, the Canberra Marketing & Events Manager will be responsible for planning, developing and executing Limelight’s marketing programs for the Canberra region. This is a Full Time position, however we're more than willing to be flexible for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for running our social media accounts, building and maintaining relationships with local media, promotional partners and influencers, executing national campaigns, and developing strategies to drive attendance, loyalty and brand awareness in Canberra.

As the Marketing & Events Executive your duties will include:

• Overseeing and maintaining Limelight’s local social media accounts, with a view to driving engagement, building the brand, and putting bums on seats.
• Executing all Brand and Retail campaigns, working with National Marketing and Location Management teams.
• Creating and capturing local content, such as photos and videos, for deployment across social and other channels.
• Developing and managing local relationships with media, influencers, retail and business partners to drive attendance and foster community
• Securing Limelight representation at local events to increase brand awareness and drive new customer acquisition 
• Collaborating with Local Management and Cinema teams in the development and execution of unique events and promotions.
• Analysing and regularly reporting on local marketing initiatives, and their delivery against local revenue targets.
• Identifying and driving local revenue opportunities – including but not limited to: Group Bookings, Venue Hire, Advertising, Merchandising, Live Events and alternative content. 
• Understanding the business needs, competitive environment, and challenges for the Canberra market — and guiding the development of strategies, tactics, measurements accordingly
• Provide leadership and communication to ensure all marketing programs and initiatives have full alignment across the relevant stakeholder

We're Looking For A Movie-Loving Marketer who can bring:

• Attention to detail, organisation, and timely communication
• An ability to work efficiently without direct supervision
• A Flexible schedule (some evenings and weekends required).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across the business to develop and execute marketing programs and custom campaigns 
• Imaginative thinking, capable of designing and executing the kinds of unique campaigns and experiences Limelight has been known for
• A passion for movies/popular culture, and an ability to inject enthusiasm for content into all our comms

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of Marketing / Event Management experience or qualifications in relevant field
• A strong local connection and relationships with local media, influencers, relevant local businesses.  
• Good knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tactics, including current best practices and emerging approaches for using technology to drive sales
• Good Copywriting skills / experience 
• Photography and/or graphic design experience 
• natural energy, enthusiasm, a love of movies and a sense of humour
• Cinema experience a plus
