Oxley Golf Club is looking for a dynamic Marketing & event coordinator to join the team. The club is going through a resurgence with endless opportunities to grow with the Club. This position offers a great work environment. Initially, this position will be a part time role being 4 days initially but anticipated that it will become a full time position for the right person.
The Marketing & Events/Function Coordinator reports directly to the Operations Manager and will work to execute the planned marketing strategies and event/function planning.
Marketing Responsibilities Include:
- Direct and coordinate all digital marketing at the Club, to include the website (edits, updates, etc.)
- Develop marketing plans to include the new activities coming to the club
- Direct the production of onsite and local marketing presence: advertising, collateral materials, signage, and direct mail
- Assist in the compilation and delivery of reports
- Monitor the effectiveness and ROI of marketing campaigns
- Remain proactive; resolve general membership/sales challenges; follow up on all requests.
- Handle administrative tasks as required; answer phones, channel calls, address inquiries, take detailed messages, schedule meetings, update Club information, work with vendors; daily contact with internal/external resources.
Event/Function Coordination Role Includes:
- Manage the development and coordination of parties and events.
- Liaise with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements & clearly relay that information through event & chef sheets, seating plans etc for each event.
- Assist clients with all needs and outsource additional elements that are not in-house.
- Focusing on growing your personal portfolio by upselling food & beverage.
- Maintain a 24hr turnaround time in responding to all emails.
- Coordinate with the Chef regarding dietary requirements & menu changes.
- Ensure insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to for all events.
- Achieve set KPI’s & targets, including that all events have been paid for in full, prior to execution.
Requirements:
- One-year experience in marketing, advertising or related area
- Have event & function coordination experience
- Have or have the ability to obtain a Blue Card
- Attention to detail
- Possess excellent writing, proofreading and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently
- Understanding of basic graphic design concepts
- Experience in related field of membership sales or customer relations
- Must be extremely organised, efficient and detail-oriented
- Excellent prospecting and closing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet required deadlines
