Plus One Co. specialises in throwing events for specific genres of music. Think parties for lovers of emo, indie, Disney, throwback, pop and much more. If you’ve ever seen a viral Taylor Swift party on TikTok, it’s likely we were responsible for it! Each event celebrating a specific genre of music exists as its own brand, all of which have their own social media presence across Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok.
Our Marketing and Operations team is responsible for coordinating and marketing these events across Australia, New Zealand and the UK, as well as creating and distributing engaging and relevant social media content alongside.

Day to day, you will:
- Be responsible for the management of all Marketing & Design staff directly reporting to this position, including performance, leave requirements, development, etc
- Assign workload across the Marketing & Design departments
- Monitor & optimise social media and digital marketing activity to support the overarching Plus One Co. goals
- Conduct routine competitor analyses
- Develop strategies for brand growth and to enhance guest experience
- Monitoring and follow up on all tasks / workload throughout the departments to ensure timelines are being achieved
- Chair all applicable team meetings
- Be responsible for the management of the marketing department budget
- Implement approved strategies including reporting back on data as required
- Support the Plus One Co. Directors and General Manger in the conceptualisation of new themes / genres through monitoring the competitor landscape
- Provide routine reports to management
- Work with the Directors and General Manager to support the development of the Marketing Department and its staff, including proactively discussing concerns in the department, researching and presenting development options, managing staff in line with business process, the implementation of new policies / procedures / systems and all other requests and requirements
- Prioritise and work autonomously towards group goals and timelines set out in project management software
- Maintain high levels of professionalism and adhere to company culture and values at all times
- Ensure clear and effective communication in all activities
- Understand that Plus One Co is a truly collaborative workplace and from time to time you may be required to complete work outside of the core deliverables of this position
What you will bring to the team:
- Minimum Certificate III in relevant qualification or suitable position experience
- Experience with managing a team of 3 or more
- Experience and knowledge of current social and digital marketing landscape including expert understanding of the Meta Ads platform
- Proficiency with using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Social Media Platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
- Demonstrated experience to working within defined budgets
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in the event industry or other fast paced customer focussed role industry desirable but not necessary
- A fun and “can do” attitude to not only support the business outcomes but also provide a positive impact on the business culture and the services we bring to our clients
