The Marketing Officer is a creative and high performing role within the Marketing & Communications business unit. Reporting to the Campaigns & Marketing Manager, this role supports and coordinates the creation, execution and monitoring of campaigns and broader marketing activities, ensuring alignment with Diabetes Australia's brand and strategic goals.
This role has a primary focus on the marketing and campaign needs of 'My Health for Life' (MH4L) Program in addition to supporting the 'Get Healthy Service' (GHS), and National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS).
The Marketing Officer will:
- Develop and implement effective communication and marketing plans for key campaigns and initiatives, including support for the Diabetes Australia Group as well as strategic programs, subsidiaries and brands.
- Develop and implement content plans under direction from Senior Communications Leads, including sourcing and curation of content.
- Copywriting aligned with content plans and communications requirements.
- Create high-quality, engaging content for a range of audiences and channels and coordinate the content delivery in collaboration with colleagues across the shared services team.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of program communications using digital and other channels (such as communication journeys for program/ scheme participants).
- Compile regular reports, briefings and communications kits for key stakeholders and partners.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials.
- Collaborate with external agency partners in the delivery of paid media campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Establish and maintain productive and professional working relationship with key stakeholders.
- Use key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to identify opportunities and provide regular progress reports.
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, media, or a related field.
- 3+ years demonstrated experience in a comparable marketing role/s.
- Proven marketing expertise with a track-record of successfully delivering effective marketing campaigns and activities to suit a range of audiences.
- Ability to engage, effectively influence, manage and collaborate with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data to ensure all marketing campaigns are evaluated and key learnings implemented for future campaigns/strategy.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple campaigns running at the same time.
- Experience briefing and managing external agencies.
- Highly resourceful and a proactive mindset.
- Exceptional project management and communications skills are essential.
Desirable:
- Experience in a government, government agency or not-for-profit marketing setting.
- Experience working in a politically sensitive environment or complex organisational structure.
- Understanding of the Australian health sector.
