To support this vision, the Department for Education is now seeking a Manager, EMS Change Management who will be responsible for leading the establishment, development and implementation of Change Management activities for strategic ICT initiatives that are rolled-out across the department and to South Australian schools and preschools. As the Manager, EMS Change Management you will play a key strategic role in developing and driving change activities for the Education Management System (EMS) project, which is a cloud-based platform designed to transform the way schools and preschools operate.
The position will take a lead on liaising and negotiating with key internal and external stakeholders to enable them to effectively navigate, adopt and embrace ICT change initiatives resulting in improved business outcomes and organisational success.
Key Responsibilities for the role include:
- Lead the establishment, development and implementation of Change Management activities for the EMS project, including developing comprehensive change strategies aligned with the department’s strategic direction and provide regular progress reporting.
- Establish and maintain strategic networks with stakeholders at all levels to foster a supportive environment for change activities and positively influence employee adoption of the change while anticipating, managing and minimising resistance.
- Develop innovative change and communications solutions that are relevant to the change initiatives being implemented to address complex organisational challenges and generate active participation.
- Exercise judgement and apply technical expertise to undertake stakeholder analysis to identify supporters and detractors of each change initiative and assess the impact on people, processes and systems to identify potential risks and implement appropriate mitigation.
- Provide leadership to the EMS Change Management team to drive results and ensure a collaborative and focused approach to deliver positive outcomes for schools and preschools.
- Provide support and coaching to site leaders to help them instil change within their teams and directly support project teams during the transition period of change initiatives within the EMS project.
- A Bachelor’s degree with relevant industry qualifications for example ITIL, Agile, PMP and Six Sigma
- Significant Change Management experience including implementing large scale technology change projects, or relevant demonstrated experience.
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex change initiatives in a large and complex organisation.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and achieve change through collaboration, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to provide broad direction to multi-disciplinary teams working on high profile projects to deliver business outcomes within defined timeframes.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and leading and advising at an executive level.
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
MAS3 $125,970 per annum
