Your Role
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools,and controls using SolidWorks.
- Demonstrate expertise in sheet metal design and the creation of weldment drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers and other professionals on project teams to create and modify designs
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs.
- Provide support to the engineering team in product development and design customization.
- Conduct design calculations and assessments to meet project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety norms, and client requirements.
- Work closely with fabricators and production teams to resolve design issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field or maybe a mechanical trades background with a diploma in mechanical engineering or a Cert IV in mechanical drafting
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Design with SolidWorks essential.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design principles, especially in sheet metal fabrication and weldments.
- Proven track record of creating complex mechanical drawings and 3D models.
- Excellent technical and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
