HARDI Australia is currently seeking to appoint a qualified and Experienced Mechanical Engineer to its CAVAN based engineering team. The Mechanical Engineer will report directly to the on-site Engineering Manager. The role will best suit an energetic person who can rapidly bring ideas and concepts to finalisation.
Qualifications / Key Skills / Requirements
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering;
- Advanced competency with mainstream CAD platforms;
- Designing large 3D assemblies, including parametric modelling and FEA;
- In-depth knowledge of materials, and design;
- Experience with Advanced design principles for mobile equipment within the agricultural engineering environment, including engineering compliance codes;
- Experience with advanced principles of hydraulic, structural, pneumatic, electronic and fluid engineering;
- Experience in project management;
- Experience in an engineering / manufacturing based industry;
- Able to deliver simple, practical solutions to complex engineering problems;
- Provide project status updates to key stakeholders as required; and
- The ability to work calmly to compressed deadlines that are often determined by factors beyond your control is essential.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design concepts for innovative and new projects;
- Identify robust proof of concept test protocols for products in development;
- Creating and analysing mechanical systems, components, and structures;
- Developing prototypes and conducting tests to assess the performance and reliability of designs;
- Choosing appropriate materials for specific engineering applications based on their properties and requirements; and
- Ensuring that products and systems meet industry standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
