The Role:The successful applicant will become part of an innovative and exciting project to establish Electronic Warfare training ranges in Australia to support the ADF and will:
- Provide engineering solutions including design, analysis, implementation, test and lifecycle support of the safe and secure delivery of MTTES components, modules and subsystems.
- Develop system change proposals using the change management processes and conforming to relevant quality management and Australian Standards.
- Support operational MTTES systems regarding troubleshooting and upgrading of capabilities, requiring liaison with Operations & Maintenance staff.
- Work with a variety of mechanical aspects including mounting brackets, plant mobility, mechanically scanned radar equipment and power plants.
The person:- A minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience in mechanical design within a process driven engineering environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to regional and remote locations to perform small team/independent work.
- Demonstrated experience with managing the safety & risk assessment process and addressing risks through system safety design practices.
Applicants must able to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting 1 level.
