The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia's newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.
The Property Operations Supervisor, reporting to the Property Operations Manager, offers the opportunity to coordinate personnel and contracted resources on shift to achieve effective completion of maintenance works across Treasury Brisbane. In this role, you will ensure limited downtime of facilities due to maintenance, to provide a safe and welcoming environment for team members and guests.
A few of your responsibilities
Support the Property Operations Manager with the development and implementation of a business plans across the department
Assist with prioritising and scheduling of work orders between departments
Co-ordinate resource requirements to ensure business demands and requests are achieved in a timely manner
Contribute to cost saving strategies including work methodologies and energy saving concepts
Complete workshop and field inspections including routine inspections of emergency and OH&S equipment
Supervise the relevant operational functions of the Property Operations Team, to achieve the department's objectives in conjunction with division and company objectives.
What we will be looking for
Exposure to Enterprise Agreements (highly advantageous)
Strong understanding of OH&S
Workforce Management knowledge, as well as 24/7 rosters
Exposure to inhouse and outsourced skill-based trades & expertise
Understanding of contract management & contractor management
About you
We are seeking an experienced Property Operations leader with a strong understanding of Industrial Relations and OH&S laws. The successful candidate will coordinate personnel on shift, as well as contract resources, to achieve effective completion of maintenance works.
You will bring a collaborative and welcoming mindset and understand the importance of embedding this culture within your team.
