About the role
Our CSI team has an immediate requirement for a Mechanical Supervisor to support mobile crushing at Pilbara based operations.
As the Mechanical Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical team onsite to ensure safe and effective operation of the mechanical systems supplying the CSI operational works associated with our project, minimising costs and effectively supervising the electrical team on site.
For this position you will report directly to our Superintendent and be on a regular 8/6 roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure day to day duties of the electrical employees and contractors regarding the above are carried out in the correct manner with respect to quality and safety
- Organise action registers to address safety and management issues highlighted from daily reports and inspections (e.g. Hazard Reports)
- Assist with planning, preparation and completion of mechanical works
- Ensure Quality, Environmental and other Company policies are implemented, maintained and progressively improved
- In conjunction with the Site Leadership team and the Human Resources Department, ensure that all staff working onsite are suitably qualified to carry out the work
- In conjunction with the Site Leadership team, conduct new employee and staff annual reviews professionally and timely in accordance with procedure
What you’ll bring to the team
- 3+ years previous experience leading teams in an Mechanical Supervisory capacity
- Plant/Crushing experience preferably in mining environment
- Strong Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coach a team
- Experience managing contractors and suppliers
- Sound knowledge of safety and safe work systems in operating mines
- C Class Driver’s License
- Hold a valid trade certificate - ideally Mechanical Fitter
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
