About the Role
As the Media and Communications Specialist, you’ll be part of the Marketing and Communications team. In this varied and fast paced role, you’ll be responsible for the coordination and delivery of communications, Media and marketing initiatives including the preparation and implementation of media releases, campaign strategies, content development, copywriting and web editing.
From creating and implementing Media and communication strategies, to working with external providers, program areas and the Senior Management team, this role manages media enquiries and develops strong relationships with media partners.
We’re looking for someone who adds to our organisational culture and has;
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar media, marketing and/or communications role
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including copywriting, proof-reading and editing
- Advanced knowledge of website and digital communication principles and practices
- Advanced skills in content management systems and email marketing systems
- Intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office software
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

To be the successful candidate you must meet the position requirements as well as provide a current National Police Check and Working with Children Check. Current NSW Drivers Licence and access to transport as regular travel is required as part of the role within the Western Sydney area is required.
