We're on the lookout for a dynamic Media and Communication Specialist located in Brisbane, working for a fantastic organisation with an inclusive and collaborative environment. As a key part of the team, you'll contribute innovative promotional ideas, engage with media outlets, provide media briefs, media pitching, press releases and will play a pivotal role in publicizing the organization's achievements & social contributions as well as increasing positive media coverage and engagement. This role will report into the Senior Manager – Corporate Communications and Media. This is a full time role, with great work from home flexibility, working within a supportive and collaborative team. Responsibilities include: Identify and capitalise on opportunities in the content and communication calendar, the daily news cycle, and all media/public relations Utilise media/public relations techniques to advance achievement of organisational goals. Proactively engage with media outlets and PR agency to achieve positive media exposure. Develop comprehensive media and communications plans to support the organisation in the implementation and rollout of its projects, campaigns and core initiatives, in addition to proactive media relations plans. Stay informed of industry trends and developments to ensure current and effective media efforts. Leverage your expert written communication skills from time to time to “ghost-write” important written communications.
