ABOUT THE ROLE
Wirreanda on Wheatsheaf Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced casual Medical Receptionist to work approximately 21 hours per week. Must be available to work between the hours of 8am and 6.0pm Mon to Fri and cover sick leave on short notice and annual leave.The successful candidate will be flexible with times, be a great team player who is motivated and enjoys working in a fast pace environment. You will receive supportive on the job training.
Applicants require strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Have a friendly mature attitude and professional appearance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- General administration and reception duties including scanning and faxing.
- Meeting and greeting patients in a professional and efficient manner
- Patient invoicing and receipting through Medicare and DVA
- Communication with doctors, nurses and patients
- Making and coordinating appointments throughout the practice.
- End of day reconciliation
- Opening and closing the surgery.
ABOUT YOU
- Have proven experience in a customer service environment.
- A warm professional telephone manner and presentation
- Understand the importance of patient/staff confidentiality.
- Previous experience with general practice medical software – Medical Director preferred
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment.
- Flexibility – to be able to cover sick leave at short notice.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
