Southern Cross Pain Clinic (SCPC) is a specialist medical facility located within the footprint of Medical Professionals Dapto. Situated 15 minutes South of Wollongong NSW, SCPC provides treatment to patients suffering pain causing health conditions when traditional first-line approaches have failed.
Our practice incorporates a network of supportive prescribers and other healthcare practitioners located across Australia.
Our patients include a strong following of ADF Veterans, whom we provide expert care to via face-to-face and video health consultations.
Qualifications & experience
- 3+ years of experience in Medical Administration or a similar role
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Excel and other desktop applications
- Ability to document, prioritise and track project activities in a high workload environment
- Ability to develop and maintain key relationships to ensure effective communication and delivery of objectives
- Team player with a can-do attitude
Tasks & responsibilities
- Greeting patients and other visitors to the clinic and managing the waiting area
- Managing the patient appointment book and accounts
- Responding to correspondence and managing the general workflow at the clinic
- Managing DVA patients via established frameworks and liaising with key stakeholders such as Veteran Access Scheme staff and other healthcare providers
- Assisting patients, doctors and pharmacists to resolve issues concerning scripts and medication
- Onboarding and supporting our network of prescribing doctors
- Liaising with the Medical Director and Practice Manager in relation to approaches for the clinic to support research projects
