About Us
The Cardiac Centre NSW is a large Cardiology private practice providing comprehensive Cardiac care from an experienced team of Cardiologists and associates. Our committed team combine their knowledge to provide patients with quality care and optimal cardiac treatment. Our network of private practices have now expanded to include Nowra, Wollongong, Shellharbour and Bowral. This role is based in our Nowra Rooms.
About the Role
We are going through a growth phase and are seeking an enthusiastic, well presented and self-motivated Medical Receptionist with the flexibility to work Part Time 4 days per week (negotiable).
Reporting to the Pratice Manager (Nowra), Medical Receptionist’s play a key role in the successful delivery of exceptional care to our patients. Our Medical Receptionist’s ensure all patients receive excellent service in a professional and caring environment. This role will involve a wide range of administrative tasks, including but not limited to organising appointments, maintaining records, distribution of medical correspondence and other tasks in order to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the practice. You are aware that confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Welcoming and greeting patients
- Provide reception services when conducting patient clinics
- Manage patient appointments through our Genie booking system
- Review incoming patient referrals from faxes and emails. Contact patients to make appointment based on the referral
- Ensure accurate patient invoices/receipts are issued to patients
- Liaise with patients regarding procedures
- Scanning, faxing and emailing patient correspondence
- Willingness to assist in day to day clinical needs of the practice (eg Holters, ECGs etc)
Desired criteria
- Previous experience providing medical reception support is preferred
- Previous experience with Genie medical software is an advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively with doctors, staff and patients
- Ability to handle a fast paced environment, prioritise based on importance and organise workflow effectively
- Demonstrated commitment to quality service & attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexibly within a small team or independently to achieve results
- To treat patients and family representatives with empathy and compassion
- Ability to start ASAP
