City Heart Medical currently has an opportunity for an Experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team. Hours of operation are 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 12.30pm Saturday and Sunday, with various shifts between these hours. The successful applicant must be available during school holidays.
This role requires someone who is motivated and enthusiastic and able to work autonomously and efficiently. Full training will be provided.
We are looking for someone who is courteous and professional with patients and other associated health professionals while also being able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 12 months experience as a Medical Receptionist (essential)
- Experience with Best Practice (preferred)
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the importance of patient confidentiality.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to multitask.
The heart of the role:
- Being responsible for the front desk including all administration duties.
- Patient management; welcoming patients, answering phone and assisting with general enquiries, booking and confirming appointments; checking, processing and managing patient accounts.
- Processing and receipting payments using TYRO, DVA, Workcover and Medicare billing - processing skills.
- Maintenance of the Best Practice patient database.
- General housekeeping and upkeep of reception area and Doctors consulting rooms.
Payment is in accordance with Fair Work covered under the Health Professional and Support Services Award (Modern Award) dependent on level of experience.
