AddressWe are seeking an experienced receptionist who will report to the Practice Manager, Surgeons and General Practitioners. This role is suited to a competent secretary with excellent communication skills and plenty of common sense. The position requires a confident communicator who can anticipate the needs of others and complete tasks efficiently.
Medical Receptionist Permanent Part/Full time – Flexible hours
Role:
- Specialist Medical Receptionist required for a busy Urogynaecology practice
- Previous experience working in as a Medical Receptionist a must
- Demonstrated experience using specialist gentu software, cashiering, receipting, filing, typing ideal (but not mandatory)
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Medical terminology favourable
- Face-paced and busy practice, needs to be able to work independently and be reliable and punctual
- Supportive practice manager who will help with training and development
Duties include:
- Front line customer service, meet and greet patients and clinicians
- Attending to telephone calls and email correspondence
- Coordinating patient care, including organising appointments, coordinating treatment and procedures, nurse consultations, theatre lists
- Administrative duties, filing, scanning, patient registration, forms, notes and other correspondence (referrals) as needed
- Diary management
- Patient invoicing, including managing payments and Medicare claims
- Processing private insurance claims and billing
- Assistant billings on an as needed basis
- Attending to doctors requests
- Ensure the practice building and rooms are tidy and prepared for all.
- Conducting Patient Surveys
- Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
