Medical Receptionist

Woden Dermatology is a dynamic and rapidly expanding practice. We have an opportunity for a Medical Receptionist to join our team.  For the right person we are willing to train you to learn the high level of skills required to fulfil the role. We offer a high quality, high demand, centre of excellence in skin care.

Our practice is at the cutting edge of dermatology, surgery, cosmetic skin services and clinical research. We currently have four doctors, a cosmetic laser nurse and injectables nurses. You will be responsible for providing administrative services to all patients of these staff members.

Flexibility with working days and hours is essential. However, it is envisaged that you will be required 8-10 days per fortnight. Most days will require 7.5-8 hours per day. Hourly rate to be discussed at interview (above award wages will be paid).

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Fulfilling the role of a Medical Receptionist in the day to day running of a busy dermatology practice and interest in the medical industry.

We are based in Woden and are offering an excellent remuneration package.

Essential Criteria:

1. Proven willingness to learn.
2. Demonstrated computer literacy, preferably with Medical software (we use Genie). 
3. Experience or willingness to learn reception or administrative roles.
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proven experience answering telephone calls and dealing with all patient enquiries/requests.
6. Ability and commitment to work effectively within a team environment.
7. Forward/innovative thinker

Desirable Criteria:

1. Experience working within the medical industry.
2. Experience working with multiple doctors or specialists.
3. Proven experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.

What will be expected of you:

• Chasing Correspondence
• Liaising with external parties
• Manage Doctor’s/Nurse’s day sheets
• Professional mannerism/dress
• End of day banking and reconciliation.
