Total Health Care is seeking a friendly, reliable, motivated and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join our busy, dynamic and collaborative team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing caring and exceptional customer service and has a keen interest in the medical field. Knowledge of Medicare item numbers is an advantage but not essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent front-line customer service both in person and over the phone, as well as having exceptional multitasking skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing appointments, handling patient enquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records as well as processing, organizing and managing appointments together with other related tasks.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Greeting patients in person and over the telephone in a professional and courteous manner
- Scheduling and rescheduling appointments
- Answering patient enquiries in person, over the phone, or via email
- Managing billings, payments and correspondence
- Accurately maintaining patient records
- General front of office and other administrative duties
- Supporting our practitioners to ensure the practice runs as smoothly as possible.
About you:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping people in providing quality empathetic patient care
- Excellent computer literacy and practical skills to be able to operate in a paper-lite environment
- A friendly and professional demeanour
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail whilst having the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a Medical Receptionist role (3 years+)
- Experience with Genie (preferred, but not essential)
- Mature outlook on life
- Proactive, flexible and can do attitude
- Be responsible for your own actions at all times, work as part of a team, think outside of the box and bring solutions to situations, not problems
- The ability to demonstrate that you are trustworthy, honest and reliable
- Be able to show proof of your Australian citizenship
