Responsibilities & duties
• Booking of patients for Appointments
• Liaising with Dr’s for priority of bookings
• Ensure all patients are greeted in a friendly and courteous manner and details entered into Genie correctly
• Answer all incoming calls
• Printing of referrals/incoming emails to the *********@thelaborange.com.au email address
• Scanning of patient documentation for uploading
• Sending out SMS reminders to patients regarding upcoming appointments
• Uploading of Results to Software (Genie)
• Sending out completed reports and letters to referring doctors
• Over the phone payments
• Ensuring all patient interactions are dealt with confidentially and any confidential paperwork is dealt with in accordance with practice protocol
• Other duties as required
Academic & trades qualifications Desirable qualifications
• Minimum of Certificate III in Business Administration Work experience & skills Essential experience
• Minimum two year’s experience within a Medical Receptionist’s role Personal qualities & behavioural traits Essential qualities or behaviours
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Be flexible in their approach to working practices
• Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines Relationships Details of relationships relevant to this role
• Liaise closely with the partners of the business and patients on a daily basis
• Work closely with the Practice Manager for daily operational issues
