Be the friendly, efficient and diplomatic first impression of our highly regarded specialist Ophthalmology practice. Work in renovated state of art rooms in the heart of Penrith. Maintaining a mature work ethic, you are our first point of contact for patients.
You will have at least 2 years experience in the field of Specialist Medical reception.
The role requires excellent communication skills, willingness to work as part of a busy team, high attention to detail, flexibility and a strong focus on the patient experience.
This is a fulltime position. However 30 hrs per week part time can also be considered
Your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Meeting and greeting patients
• Making appointments
• Answering Phones
Surgical Bookings and managing operating lists
• Front reception duties, including opening or closing on a rotating roster
• Undertaking general administrative duties relating to patient care, with a willingness to go the extra mile.
Typing is also an asset
During busy times, you might be asked to handle a morning with the phones ringing, patients to greet at front desk, and requests from clinical staff. At quieter times, you must be able to maintain a good work ethic.

A good understanding of computer systems (we use Shexie) and previous Ophthalmology experience would be highly regarded but not essential.
