We are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist looking for a long-term opportunity to join our friendly healthcare team on a part-time basis and be available for shifts between 6am and 6pm. The position will be based at our Upper Mt Gravatt centre.
The role will involve all Medical Reception duties including patient admissions, discharge and data entry of patient information, as well as the accurate and timely preparation of theatre lists. You will be required to professionally deal with and respond to all incoming telephone calls, maintain medical records and databases including billing of patient accounts. The role also entails general filing and administration duties.
Key attributes needed for this position:
- Previous experience in a Hospital Admissions or Medical Receptionist role an advantage.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Competent in the use of Microsoft packages. (This hospital uses FYDO Patient Management Software)
- Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality within the healthcare environment
- The ability to produce high quality accurate work, prioritise workload and manage competing deadlines
- Working as part of a team and capable of undertaking a variety of reception and administration tasks in a fast-paced environment.
