Specialist Medical Receptionist

We are looking for an experienced, motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team located on the Sunshine Coast. 

This is a permanent part time position approximately 40 hours a fortnight working across 5 days.

The role

• You will provide support to the Specialist Doctor
• Provide friendly patient / customer service, both in person and via the telephone
• Carry out all aspects of administration as needed
• Manage patient billings and bookings, liaising with Medicare and other Health funds, produce surgery fee estimates, organise and coordinate theatre lists
• Maintain the reception area
• Respond to a variety of requests with a matter of urgency and confidentiality
• This is a very busy practice with opportunities to learn a wide range of topics

The ideal candidate should possess the following experience and skills (cover letter should include responses to these criteria):

• Experience with medical software programs, GENIE is preferred, we use Apple/MAC computers
• Previous experience in a similar role as a Medical Receptionist ideally with a background working with a Specialist Surgical Practice 
• Exceptional computer literacy for a paperless system
• Evidence of highly developed organisational skills and analytical skills
• Have outstanding verbal and written communication skills
