Northern Heart Specialists are currently looking for an experienced receptionist to join our friendly and professional team. Experience working in a medical background is essential. This role will see you managing a busy front desk reception and welcoming patients to the practice in a friendly professional manner. The successful applicant must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to thrive in a fast paced environment. A caring and patient attitude is essential. This position is full time - 5 days a week.
The Role
Along with providing exceptional customer service, your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Reception, welcoming and processing patients
• Scheduling and managing patient appointments
• Managing telephone enquiries
• Patient information data entry
• Preparation and distribution of medical correspondence to referring medical providers
• Preparation of patient files and assistance with preparation of consultants' clinics
• Handing of cash, credit cards, Eftpos including settlement at the end of each day
• Manage appointments including make appointments, re-scheduling, sending reminders and manage cancellations
• Management of all patient data and correspondence
• Managing of private billings, Medicare & DVA claims
• Processing incoming and outgoing mail and emails
• Other administrative work as demanded by the job
