Illawarra Sleep Medicine Centre is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for a Full Time role within our growing team. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Welcoming patients and confirming their details
- Managing telephone enquiries and taking messages as required
- Scheduling patient appointments including sending reminders and recalling patients
- Invoicing patients/taking payments
- Processing health fund & Medicare claims
- Banking
- Arranging mail/postal
- Processing outgoing and incoming emails, faxes and scanning documents
- Reviewing and sending letters
- Liaising with pathology & other medical groups
Essential:
- Ability to work work independently and as part of team
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to understand medical terminology
- Great attention to detail
- Pleasant & empathic manner to both patients & other staff
- Computer skills
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an administrative environment preferred
Desirable:
- Experience working in a medical environment
- Experience with GENTU or other medical software
