Medical Receptionist

We are looking for an experienced receptionist to join our team!

ONLY applicants with previous Medical Receptionist experience should apply.

This is a casual or part-time (for the right applicant) front desk position within a general practice. We are seeking someone with availability to work 2 – 4 days with Mondays and Tuesdays mandatory. 

Job Description: 

As a Medical Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a seamless experience from the moment they enter the clinic. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to our medical team. Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Greeting and checking-in patients, verifying personal information. 
• Scheduling appointments and maintaining the appointment calendar. 
• Answering phone calls, addressing inquiries, and routing calls to the appropriate staff members. 
• Responding to and actioning emails and faxes. 
• Managing patient registration and maintaining accurate patient records and information. 
• Coordinating with healthcare providers and assisting with various administrative tasks. 
• Handling billings and processing payments. 
• Preparing consulting rooms and the clinic for the day. 
• Maintaining a clean and organized reception area. 

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist 
• Previous experience with the use of medical software 
• Knowledge of Medicare Item Numbers and applications
• Knowledge of the Australian healthcare system
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Must be available to work on Mondays and Tuesdays 

Salary negotiable depending on experience and skills
