About usThe Rheumatology Specialist Centre is a vibrant medical practice that provides Rheumatology medical services to the Toowoomba and Darling Downs communities. Getting to know our patients and understanding their concerns is at the heart of the services that we offer to ensure our treatments are effective and world-class. Our clinic, located at the Toowoomba CBD, is open during standard business hours, Monday to Friday.
Tasks and responsibilities- General medical reception and administration duties including answering phone calls, emails and management of electronic patient files.
- Managing patient appointments.
- Greeting, checking-in patients and eftpos billing.
- Processing patient accounts including Medicare and DVA billing procedures.
- Liaising with other medical practices.
- Typing letters, scanning and filing.
- Maintaining general tidiness of the practice.
- Other administrative duties relevant to day-to-day medical practice operations.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous customer service experience (experience as a receptionist in medical or health care desirable).
- Excellent skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience using PracSoft, Medical Director or equivalent software is ideal.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, reliable and punctual.
- Demonstrated organisational skills, able to balance competing priorities and tasks.
- A passion for customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Hours offered
Casual employee hours will be discussed on interview.
RemunerationRemuneration will be dependent on experience and skills in line with The Health Professionals and Support Services Award.
