Medical Receptionist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused individual to join our small and friendly team as a Permanent Part Time Medical Receptionist at our renowned Ophthalmology Practice in St Leonards, Sydney. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar efficiently.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and accurately.
• Assist patients with filling out necessary forms and documents.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling.
• Handle billing and payment processing, including Medicare claims.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a high standard of patient care.
• Follow privacy and confidentiality guidelines when handling patient information.

Requirements:

• Available Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays.
• Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role.
• Experience using Genie is a plus.
• Australian residency or valid work permit.
