Role overview:

Join our team at Vein Doctors Sydney as a dedicated Medical Receptionist within our Endovascular Varicose Vein Clinic. This position offers a chance to be an integral part of an expanding and forward thinking team. Working closely with the specialist, your key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Scheduling and managing patient appointments, handling billing, arranging additional tests, and following up with patients.
• Coordinating with hospitals for procedural bookings.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with patients from their first contact through to the completion of their treatment. 
• Providing patients with procedural quotations, billing details, and information on additional fees. 
• Overseeing payment processes, billing management and debt collection.
• Assisting with practice management and promotional activities.
• Engaging with general practitioners and other healthcare professionals to enhance referral networks.

About you:

• Experience in medical reception or a similar roles is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks. 
• Capable of working independently or as part of a team and able to escalate issues when necessary.
• You should be punctual, dependable, and take responsibility seriously.
• Familiarity with financial processes such as invoicing and debt collection is a plus, but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and handling EFTPOS systems. 
• Must be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia.
