Form of workWe are looking for a part time casual receptionist for a small ophthalmology practice in Drummoyne. You will be working on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday for up to 16 hours a week, on a flexible schedule.
Essential Criteria
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional, personable phone manner.
- Proficient computer skills in making bookings and billing patients and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Able to work independently and with a team.
- Excellent time management, problem solving and organisational skills.
- High standard of presentation and a kind nature.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist
- Experience with Best Practice medical software, and billing Medicare and health funds.
- Experience with Microsoft Office
Duties include general receptionist office duties including:
- Answering phone enquiries and making patient appointments.
- Meet and greet patients.
- Liaise with referrers, specialists and hospitals.
- Quote procedure fees and complete booking forms for surgery.
- Scan documents.
- Coordinate theatre lists with hospital.
- Process billings and end of day reconciliations.
- Receive and send correspondence.
- Keep premises tidy.
