About the roles:
- Greeting patients and checking demographics and referral details
- Answering and transferring telephone calls, taking messages where appropriate
- Documenting all interactions with patients and professional colleagues
- Data entry of demographics
- Email correspondence
- Appointment and diary management and coordination
- Processing payments with Medicare, DVA, private health funds
- Scanning documents, faxing documents, entering documents into electronic patient files
- Administrative Duties
- Providing vital support to an exceptional team of medical, nursing and scientific staff
About the candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:-
- Experience working as a Medical Administrator/Receptionist – essential;
- Exceptional communication and time management skills with great attention to detail;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and the proven ability to confidently learn new systems;
- Ability to work cohesively with a multi-disciplinary team;
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality in a health care setting;
- Availability to work between 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday – Thursday and 8am – 4pm Friday. No weekend/night work. Will work a rotating roster;
- Previous experience in Genie Medical Practice software is highly desirable
- A friendly, caring, respectful and approachable demeanor;
- Be reliable, punctual, and hard working;
- Have good problem solving skills with the ability to show initiative;
The successful candidate will work between the specialist suites and the IVF Clinic which are both located within Greenslopes Private Hospital.
Experience in a healthcare setting and using medical practice software is essential.
Due to the nature of our work, you will need to be a non-smoker and up to date with Covid-19 vaccinations.
