SalaryWe are seeking an experienced casual Medical Receptionist for a busy 7 day GP Practice, 20-30 hours per week. Immediate start.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the medical reception area including:
- Opening and closing of the clinic
- Greeting patients with a warm welcome, triaging patients, answering phones and forwarding calls to the appropriate party.
- Tracking availability, preparing and rescheduling patients before their appointments.
- Responding to inquiries, emails and online bookings, processing patients information managing patient records, handling correspondence and file transfers.
- Enabling billing processes and payment collection.
- Attending to Medicare/DVA, Workcover and other patient billing requirements.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in GP admin at least 12mths
- Strong proficiency in, or ability to quickly pick up document scanning importing documents.
- Be reliable, honest, enthusiastic have high attention to detail data entry, accuracy and communication skills.
- Proven multitasking, problem solving and time management skills and empathy.
- Experience with software Medical Director preferred (not essential)
- Familiar with Hotdoc or Health Engine or other patient booking platforms.
- Understanding of word doc, excel, outlook.
- Must be available to workdays Monday – Friday and weekends if needed.
