We are looking for a casual Medical Receptionist to join our team. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Answering phones
- Booking appointments
- Taking payments and processing Bulk Billing
- Liaising with Doctors and other Medical staff
- Scanning and importing documents and emails
- Keeping the reception area tidy
- Closing the clinic at the end of the day
We are a rapidly growing clinic and are finding we need an extra receptionist when it is busy and when someone is away. We will need extra help approximately 1 day per week at the moment, plus for weeks at a time when someone is sick or on holidays. We have 5 people currently on our admin team so there is quite often someone away. We expect available shifts to increase as our clinic continues to grow.
Once you are familiar with our policies and procedures you will occasionally have to work by yourself, on a Saturday when it is quiet or very rarely during the week, usually at the very end of the day.
Excellent spoken and written language skills are essential, as well as the ability to multi-task and work with numbers. You should also have a compassionate and polite manner, and be able to deal with demanding patients in a cool and calm manner.
Our practice fosters a gentle and kind work place culture so we will also be looking for a receptionist with these qualities.
Experience as a Medical receptionist is almost essential, however we will also consider applicants with customer service experience in the airline industry.
Flexibility will be a big plus as we may ask you to work at short notice
You will also need to have good computer skills, experience with Windows and decent typing speed.
